Well...I can sometimes hear my neighbors doing it when I'm not playing music - I now get why people want their own house so they don't have to deal with that sort of thing. I'm glad our place is up on the second story though, because we're in a "crow's nest" type situation and can see what's going on outside without actually being on the street.

It's nice to be busy with work and all, but I haven't had an actual day off yet and that's a bummer - Edo goes to work, then I go to work, or vice versa. However, I felt really good after training today because I got to "show my stuff" so to speak. I got respect among the other trainees and those who were actually working behind the bar with the experience three years at Linnaea's Café taught me. I have to get over the fact a lot of what I do now to prepare espresso is automated - I actually took the portafilter out of the grinder early because I thought I had to tamp - but no. I work tomorrow at the café on Pine with my manager Trevor which should be fun. I'm looking forward to getting to know the place I'm actually going to be spending my summer.

Beside mom who's visiting our messy, unpacked place tomorrow, Edo's best friend Steve and his girlfriend Elyse are visiting next Monday. Lots of guests! I still have yet to see a lot of my friends in the city, but I'm sure I'll get a chance once we get settled. After all, I've only been moved up since Saturday and moved in since Monday.
