It's raining outside! Well, at least it's wet out and at the very least sprinkling. I woke up this morning around nine, ran to the car to get toilet paper, made some ginger tea for Edo whose stomach was upset, and got ready for work at the last minute. The past two days he and I have played soccer in an abandoned towing lot down the street from our house. We just hop the fence and kick the ball around for about an hour or so. Surprisingly I'm sore from my arms down to my ankles!
Today I got my ride in while going to work which is always nice - I put on some SPF, my work clothes and wore my bike lock secured like a sash as I sped to BART. I actually made it to Tully's with time to spare, although it was already 15 minutes til twelve and I was sure I was going to be late. I spent the day eating ice cream out of our machine topped with Ghirardelli caramel sauce, drinking Egyptian mint tea, and doing, of course, work.
After work I rode my bike over the hill to the Marina/Cow Hollow area (the rich area) where my friend Katherine was working. She showed me a good time at Ambiance, the boutique she works at, and pulled several outfits for me to try. I ended up only liking a few things, but not enough to buy anything (as if I need to spend any money). All the shops are really cute on Union street! They're all small and line the streets among little trees and loads of people who are shopping. I think I may apply to a few places in that area because it's so cute and I love little detailed shops anyhow. I'd also like to apply to places in the Mission, on Valencia, Haight Street and other well-known parts of San Francisco.
I put my Tully's uniform back on (i.e. all black ) with bike lock secure and helmet keeping my head warm, and trekked up the giant hill which was Franklin. I headed down Bush toward Powell in Union Square and who knew, I missed a call from Edo who was taking his break from H&M. We met on the corner of O'Farrell and Powell and went to Westfield Mall. It seemed like a short visit after I had eaten all his fries and started my walk back to BART to go home. I realized on my way down the stairs I'd forgotten my house keys and had to call him before he went back to work, which was timely because H&M are very strict when it comes to work work work. Anyway, I got the keys and biked back home. I'm proud to say I made it all the way up the hills!
Now I'm drinking tea and watching Sex In The City 2 (shhh). I think I might throw some gnocchi on the stove for Edo when he comes home - I swear we eat like people do in Europe: way too late. I'm working another closing shift the next few days and am happy to be so busy with work (or else where would I get the rent money?). I'm planning on coming down July 16th! Until later then.
