I've noticed funny differences between the city and home, like walking to my house or biking through my neighborhood - there's almost always a 90% chance of getting cat-called or being asked for my phone number. I'm not used to this at all, especially because I'm mostly always bundled up when I'm going to my car or riding my bike...but some how they still find me.
I just got done with work about 8:30. Although I generally only stay until 5:30 or 6:00 when closing, it was inventory tonight and that takes a little longer. Time to rack up some hours! As a matter of fact, I believe I get paid tomorrow! I must however devote my time and money to rent - oh well.
Tomorrow I have the day off so I first plan on moving my car as to avoid being ticketed for parking on the Monday street cleaning side. Then I think I'll clean the house, ride my bike to SFSU to drop off some financial aid information, and then go for a bike ride with Edo after he gets off work. We really want to rent some movies from this video store down the street from our place, but it's almost always closed! The guy took off early last time we tried to get something, so we settled for an instant movie on one of our computers until the day we're lucky enough to step inside Ocean View Video.
I almost forgot to mention that Edo and I rode our bikes to my work today which was both fun and tiring. Gay pride was this weekend so Grove and one other street was closed over by Civic Center - that means there was lots of traffic and we had to deal with angry people in cars as cyclists. I made it to work on time (as always it's a surprise how fast I get there on my bike), and I accidentally called a transvestite a man. I said, "He got a half pound of coffee." Afterward I mentally slapped myself and felt awful - it must be so hard to look like a man but feel like a woman.
Anyway that's all I can manage to write for now, off to make some tea!
